Memories

Bahahahaha, National Lampoon's Vacation is on right now. I've seen this movie so many times and laugh every time. Yeah, it's stupid humor, but sometimes that's just what you need, you know? Poor Aunt Edna. LOL

It's Only Money, Right?

I had to take my wedding ring in to be fixed today. It's needed to go in for, oh, about 5 years now. LOL I was missing a couple of prongs and where they had welded my engagement ring to my wedding band, it had cracked. I've noticed recently that another prong must be loose because I was catching it on stuff and I even scratched my face with it. I told the girl behind the counter that I was missing prongs and she said, oh no, I'm sure they're just worn down. She took out her little eyeglass thing and said to the other girl, look at this, they ARE gone. *eyeroll* She then said, "I'm surprised you haven't lost the diamond out of it!" Whatever. So anyway, I get my ring back on Thursday....after I give them $124.50. LOL They said the weld would just crack again because it was so thin so they were going to have to add a shank to it. I also needed it resized 3/4 of a size bigger. Wouldn't of had to do that if I had just lost the weight I keep meaning to lose. :-/

Yippy Skippy, part 2

We all survived Chuck E. Cheese. We blew through 100 tokens in no time. LOL It was fun to just hang out for a while and have fun. Found out too, that the manager decided that the school will get 20% of the money instead of only 15%. Woooooohooooo!

Yippy Skippy

Guess where we're going tonight? Chuck E. Cheese. You are all jealous, I know it! LOL

Seriously though, we're doing a fund raiser for Youngest Princess's school. The school will get 15% of the money tonight. Hope they do well!!

Jeff Childress

Many of you know that one of my jobs is bookkeeper for our church. I listen to a lot of Christian music while at work. Jeff Childress is a christian singer who also has a country flair. Go check out his site, he's got many songs up there to listen to.

One of my favorites is called Soulmate. Listen to the lyrics and you can hear the love for his "soulmate" that he feels. I would be so thrilled to have had that song written for me.

Jeff also has a song he wrote about our service men and women called Blood Bought Liberty. He wrote the song after helping a neighbor's wife with some work on her house while her husband was deployed. He posted the story with the song, so go check it out! It's a great song!

Shopping+Empty Stomach=Bad Kelli

Oh boy, I was hungry. I went to Walmart to pick up a few things. BAD IDEA! I came home with the stuff I had gone for, but a bag of Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs, more Cadbury Eggs and more Mini Cadbury Eggs jumped right into my basket! We also got Peeps that Youngest Princess picked out for her and her sister. Blech! Hate those things. Oh and on a separate note, this year there is green Peeps too! We, however, got pink.

I just went and looked.....green Peeps aren't the only thing new this year. They're also making sugar-free Peeps, made with Splenda and cocoa Peeps. LOL

It's a Blizzard Out There!

Ok, so the schools had a delayed opening this morning, right? Guess what? Not a single flake fell. Bahahahaha I bet someone at the school district has a lot of questions to be answering! I was out taking Oldest Princess to school and it was rain. Granted, there was some "thicker" rain on my windshield, but no real snow. Oh and guess what? We're supposed to be getting snow tonight. Sheesh, I guess I should check the district website. I'm sure they've closed it already!

My boss is funny. He asked Oldest Princess today if she'd heard they're having a two-week delay for school starting today.....you know, cause it "might" snow sometime next year! Bahahahaha

Wordless Wednesday

City Shuts Down

We're expecting snow. No accumulation, per se, but snow. Guess what? Our schools are on a two-hour delay. I haven't seen one flake today. We're so not used to snowy weather here, so the city shuts down. I'm not even sure we have a snow plow. LOL

Sickies update

Phew! I was able to get the prescriptions from Walgreens yesterday with little to no problem. I thought for sure I'd have a problem, we always do. But I went through the drive through, picked up Craig's insulin and Oldest Princess's two prescriptions, or so I thought. I pulled away from the window and luckily decided to check. I mean I just spent $75 on prescriptions, I was going to make sure I had them all. Good thing I did. They didn't give me Craig's insulin, which they had forgotten to take out of the refrigerator. *sigh* So after sitting in the drive-through for 15 minutes, we had to go inside anyway. There were literally about 10 cars behind us so I figured it would take forever inside, but there was only one person in front of us. Phew! Was able to get Craig's insulin with little to no trouble. Yay!

So anyway, Oldest Princess is feeling a ton better! Her attitude has improved as well. Bonus for us all! LOL

Loans

About a year ago or so, we refinanced our home. We went with the same institution that carried our previous mortgage. We had had good luck with them and gotten a low interest rate, but I would have liked to have a site like this one for comparing mortgage rates to see if we could have gotten a better rate from someone else.

With the refinance, we also paid off the credit cards. But, we have since used them again. With the one card we have a high interest rate. We need to find one that isn't so high. The site compares credit cards in the U.K. I think that's such a great idea to be able to compare them all in one place!

I've been trying to put extra money into our savings account. I'd like to have a little cushion in there. I always have, and it has come in handy at times! If you're in the U.K. and looking for comparisons of interest rates on your savings accounts check them out!

www.nationsfinance.co.uk even has comparisons on car insurance with online discounts going through their site. What a great incentive since insurance can be so high!

If you're in the U.K. and looking for any kind of loans or insurance, take a look at www.nationsfinance.co.uk and compare rates all in one place!

Pink & Purple Fairy

Saturday we went to Build-A-Bear Workshop. Youngest Princess had gotten a gift card for there for Christmas. She made a beeline for this cute little pink and purple bear. I tried to show her the other ones she could pick, but she had blinders on. This was the bear for her!

First she got to stuff it:

Then she got to put the bear's heart in:

Then the bear got an air bath and a good brushing:

Finally she got to not be naked anymore. Youngest Princess picked out a fairy costume and a Princess Aurora costume for her buddy:

Finally, our purchase was done. "Pink & Purple Fairy" was now a part of our family!

Sickies

Well, Oldest Princess has a sinus infection and her chest is tight according to the doctor. So she got prescriptions for Amoxicillin and Albuterol. My mom had to take her to the doctor because I was working. I told my mom to just take the scrips to Walmart, they should just be $4 scrips. Craig went after he got back in town to go pick them up. They were going to be $32 a piece!!! So, because the girls' insurance doesn't do Walmart, I screwed up. I just figured it'd be $8. *sigh* So today I get to call the doc and get new prescriptions sent to Walgreens. GRRRRRRRR

The OC

Yep, I watched The OC. It was one of my favorite shows. I even have Season 1 and Season 2 on DVD. I didn't get Season 3 for Christmas, but I will be getting it and of course, now, Season 4 as well. The last episode was last week. I wasn't thrilled with that episode. It seemed too jumbled with them trying to close everything up. It was usually such a well-written show. If that last episode would have been a regular episode, I would have thought it "jumped the shark". Anyway, I am sad that it's no longer in my Thursday night lineup, but I do admit that I couldn't get into the whole Ryan/Taylor thing. It kind of lost something after Marissa died.

Flashback

Anyone remember this post? Yep, I had it again tonight! Yummmmmmmy!!

Cadbury Eggs

Hey! It's that time again! Time for Cadbury Eggs and that cute little bunny that lays the eggs. Mmmmmmmmmmm While at Target today, I got a pack of the regular size eggs and a pack of the one dozen mini creme eggs. Woohoo!!

We're Nerds

My husband is a nerd. Yes, he is. He has programmed our remote to run the Roomba.

I was giving him a hard time about being such a nerd when he brought up the fact that I was walking around watching the Roomba vacuum my floor. Bahahahaha

Hmm, wonder which of us is the bigger nerd? Wait! Don't answer that.

Rumors, Rumors

So, I heard through the grapevine that PayPerPost, you know, the site that pays you for online advertising, has some big news, but I don't know what exactly that is.

I'm wondering if it will be double payouts on some opportunities! Wouldn't that be great? Ooooh just think what I could do with all that moola!

Or maybe a trip to any destination that one lucky winner (and a dozen of their closest friends) chooses! Oh man, what a dream that would be! Anyone care to guess where I'd pick? Not very hard to figure out, I'd be going to Walt Disney World! But, since I was in the area, I'd probably have to stop by PayPerPost HQ too!

Or maybe a new car! It would be painted green with PayPerPost logos on the side. Maybe it'll be a Hummer! A real one, not an H2 or H3, but the big daddy of all Hummers!

Or maybe a PayPerPost tour bus going around visiting posties. So many possibilities!

Well, I'm sure it's got to be one of those ideas above, or else the big news might be that Ted, the CEO of PayPerPost, has been abducted by aliens, was brainwashed on their spaceship and now has three nipples, twelve fingers and a horn growing out of the top of his head. Yeah, I think I hit the nail on the head! That's got to be it! Don't you think?
