Free Coloring Pages

Have you seen the site that has Free Coloring Pages for kids? The Princesses are going to love this site! Good thing we have enough computers here to go around, or I'd be having to give up some of my computer time!

I've been playing around with it. I colored a page with Tigger and Pooh. Yep, they even have Disney pages! I was thrilled to see that and the Princesses will be too! They're as big of Disney freaks as I am. There's also Pokemon, Barbie, Hello Kitty and Bratz, just to name a few. They also have subjects such as holidays, food, transportation, sports and more. Oh goodness, I just looked again and found a My Little Pony page. Youngest Princess will be picking that one as her favorite, I'm sure!

It is really simple to color your page. Find the page you want to color, click on the color you want and then click on the picture where you want the color to go. Simple as that! You know what else is cool? You can upload your own coloring page and color it in. When you're done coloring, you can save your picture to show your friends and family, just make sure you're registered first.

See, it starts as:

and it becomes this in no time!

It doesn't matter if you're 3 or 83, go check it out! I bet you'll have fun!!

It's a Jungle Out There!

Wow! Our backyard was overgrown with weeds. I took some pictures about a month ago, but I didn't take any before pics today. I should have. The weeds doubled in size. Anyway, I got this one area by my garden and in the corner done. It looks a hundred times better. It still has work to be done, but it's much, much better!

Have You Heard the News?

Have you heard? Pay Per Post has a new campaign going for blogger outreach. They've raised 7 Million dollars. No, that's not a misprint....it's in the millions! Ka-ching! Because of this, Pay Per Post is releasing over $7,000 in opportunities for us posties. That's really showing the posties some love, huh?

Of course, $7,000 doesn't exactly equal $7 Million, does it? I think Pay Per Post should spend that other $6,993,000 on the posties as well. Every registered postie could be given their choice of a new car, a trip, or just a big ol' fat check! I think that would be fantastic! Of course, in the realm outside of my dream world, the money should probably be used for things like promotion, getting new clients, staffing, etc. You know, the boring stuff. hehehe But, with that being said, because of promotion, staffing, etc, the posties will still benefit, so I guess either way will be a win-win!

If you haven't gone and signed up with Pay Per Post, what in the world are you waiting for? You get paid to write about the things that interest you. Real money, not credits somewhere. Real cash! Go sign up now! There's no time like the present, is there?

Check out this news:

The PayPerPost Revolution Accelerates, Sponsored
Blogging Marketplace Secures $7 Million Series B

Draper Fisher Jurvetson leads round and joins Board of Directors

ORLANDO, FL – (June 12, 2007) – PayPerPost, the leading marketplace for advertisers to reach bloggers and other consumer content creators, today announced it has completed a $7 million second round investment led by Draper Fisher Jurvetson, an investor in the company's Series A and one of the world’s leading high-technology venture capital firms. The financing brings the total amount of capital raised by PayPerPost to over $10 million, giving the company considerable resources for further development as the industry’s leading Consumer Generated Advertising marketplace. Additional participants in the round include existing investors Inflexion Partners and Village Ventures as well as new investor DFJ Gotham. With this investment, DFJ Managing Director Josh Stein also joins PayPerPost’s Board of Directors.

“PayPerPost created this exciting new advertising space and has established itself as the industry leader,” said Ted Murphy, chief executive officer of PayPerPost. “Although we’ve only used a portion of our first round capital, this added support from investors unlocks significant growth potential. Our content creator and advertiser ROI metrics clearly demonstrate the upside for PayPerPost’s model. We intend to use this capital to build the infrastructure, visibility and professional expertise necessary to reach and retain a greater network of advertisers and content creators than ever before.”

Since its founding in June of 2006, PayPerPost has signed more than 6,500 advertisers to its groundbreaking service, which has enabled Consumer Content Creators to be compensated for their efforts discussing specific companies, products or services via blogs, videos or other media. The content creators are required to disclose relationships with advertisers on their blog, providing transparency for the end reader. Over 125,000 Internet postings, most in the form of blogs, have already earned money for their creators through PayPerPost’s innovative marketplace. PayPerPost recently released PayPerPost Direct, a disruptive new service that allows advertisers to contract and negotiate directly with individual bloggers they identify through a safe, managed system.

“PayPerPost has laid a strong foundation for the future,” noted Tim Draper, founder and managing director of Draper Fisher Jurvetson. “It continues to attract a critical mass of participants from both the advertising and blogging communities. Analogous to Overture’s sponsored search model, we believe PayPerPost’s business model holds disruptive potential and will enable the company to thrive in the evolving paid-content arena.”

To mark the $7 million dollar funding, PayPerPost has launched a new website detailing the company’s service offering at http://www.payperpost.com. Bloggers and advertisers can easily sign up at the site and begin leveraging the self service marketplace.

Chocolate Dumplings

You know what sounds REALLY good right about now? Chocolate Dumplings. Now, before you go all "EWWWWW" on me, let me explain. I got this recipe from my grandma. She'd gotten it out of the newspaper years ago. I've been making them since I was about 16 or so. It's basically a chocolate cake (dumpling) in chocolate sauce. Mmmmmmmm

When my dad was working graveyard shift, I used to make them and he'd take them to work for the guys. Because of that, I even got a marriage proposal. LOL My dad is still good friends with that guy and we still joke that he's my "other" husband. LOL

Bindi the Jungle Girl

As I was browsing through videos at The News Room, I came across this video.

Steve Irwin's daughter, Bindi, is creating a TV show following in her father's footsteps. It's called Bindi the Jungle Girl and will be on the Discovery Kids channel. I love watching her, she's so animated and seems to be 'down to earth'.

The show will be about conservation and education of the wildlife around us. Some scenes will include Steve Irwin, since he was involved in the first few episodes.

I think Bindi's father would be proud! Her mother, Terry, thinks so as well. Anything I've ever seen about the late Steve Irwin shows he cared about family and animals. This show has both! My Princesses will love this show. They're both animal lovers.

I couldn't believe all the videos at The News Room. Anything that has been in the news was there! The clips aren't "last week's news" either, (although you can find last week's news too)! You can see really recent news clips easily. The whole site was easy to use. Inserting the video clip into my post was a piece of cake. I clicked on the copy button and it was copied! Simple as that!

Go try them out for yourselves! You're bound to find something of interest to you!

Coupons for Airlines?

When looking for airfare, do you think about looking for coupons for the airfare? I don't, or should say, I didn't. I would go to the websites and try to find the cheapest deal, but didn't know I could find actual coupon codes for my travel! In browsing through the store listing at couponchief.com, I found they had United Airlines coupons.

Next year is our 15th anniversary. Craig and I have already started looking into going to Walt Disney World. That was where we spent our honeymoon, so we thought it appropriate to go back, sans kids! I'm so excited I can't stand it. In doing our preliminary planning, we've realized that airfare will be a huge chunk of the total cost of that vacation. I'm most definitely going to be looking for coupons to help us out!

Sleepover

Well, Oldest Princess's sleepover was a success. One girl couldn't make it she just had the 2 friends over. They were very good, but didn't get to sleep until after 4. I kept waking up all night, but not really because of them. I heard talking, but I never once had to say....be quiet!!! But, with all that being said, I slept REALLY well last night. LOL
