Writing a Book?

I've thrown around the idea about writing a book. If I was to write one, it would be a children's book. One thing holding me back would be the whole publishing aspect. That is enough to hold me back.

There's now a book publisher that can help you get that book published. You, as the author, get to control such decisions as to when and how many are printed. Your book will then be available at 25,000 stores and even at online stores! So what are you waiting for? Get to writing!

Support Virginia Tech!!

Friday, April 20, Hokie Hope: Orange and Maroon Effect -- Virginia Tech family members across the country have united to declare this Friday, April 20, an "Orange and Maroon Effect" day to honor those killed in the tragic events on campus Monday and to show support for VT students, faculty, administrators, staff, alumni, and friends. Everyone across the country is invited to be part of the Virginia Tech family this Friday and wear orange and maroon to support the families of those who were lost and support the school and community.

Virginia Tech

My heart and prayers go out to all the students, faculty, families of the victims, police officers, EMT's, etc. of this senseless tragedy.

In a way I'm glad we, the people, don't have to support this coward in jail for the rest of his life, but I also would have liked to see him suffer for his actions. Then he went and shot himself in the face. I bet he thought he was pretty smart doing that. Figured he'd give one more jab to the police. Well, I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking of him as a coward!

It makes me so scared to let my Princesses out of my site or to date. All of this senselessness over a jealous ex-boyfriend. Incredible.

Vegas, Baby!

I looked into how much it would be for Craig and I to fly into Vegas for a few days. We love just walking around looking at the sites. We like staying at either the Luxor or Paris. I even mentioned it to him the other day and he was all for it, except for the fact that we don't have the money to do it right now. Just a little "technical difficulty". *wink*

But anyway, if you'd like to drool over some gorgeous properties, go take a look at Las Vegas real estate. Look at this gorgeous home. Did you look at the pictures? Absolutely beautiful!

Yard Work

Yesterday was a great day. We went to Lowe's and got some flowers for the yard, weed killer and seeds for the garden. The princesses picked out some seeds for a little garden they're going to make. Mowed the front lawn. I had lowered the lawn mower down and scalped some of the yard (oops!) It should grow back soon (I hope), but it looks really nice. I mowed about a quarter of the backyard, but our yard cart (garbage can for yard stuff) was full and it won't be picked up until Wednesday. So I guess I get to finish later this week.

We then went to my parents' house and Craig helped my dad load some swap meet stuff on the trailer and I helped my mom pull a few weeds. I even got a bit sunburned.

Blogger Choice Awards

Have you seen the Blogger Choice Awards? Have you been nominated? Do you want to nominate your favorite blog?

These web awards have fun categories such as Best Geek Blog, Hottest Mommy Blogger, Most Obnoxious Blogger, Worst Blog of All Time, Freakiest Blogger, Hottest Daddy Blogger, Best Celebrity Blogger and many other great categories. If you're nominated, you can grab cool little "badges" to put on your site letting the world wide web know of your nomination and to go vote. Go on, grab that badge and stand tall! If you have been nominated, let me know because I want to go take a look and gather all my facts before making my votes.

I have yet to be nominated, but if you feel I fit into one of the many categories of the Blogger Choice Awards, then please (I'm begging you *wink* ) go nominate this blog. Even if you don't like it, there's categories for that too.

Nominations and voting take place now through 11:59pm on May 22 and the winners will be announced at PostieCon. If you're going to PostieCon, then by all means get the word out for people to vote for your blog so you can accept your award in person! How neat would that be?

Don't let your favorite (or your least favorite) blogs miss out on winning these great awards because you didn't go nominate and vote for them, so do it now!

R.M.S Titanic

95 years ago today, the R.M.S Titanic sank. The passenger list has been put online here, free for a limited time.

Shipwrecks have always interested me. The "what-ifs" are so huge. What if the Titanic had narrowly missed that iceberg? Would all those people have been spared their lives?

According to this site the last witness to the sinking of the Titanic died in 2006. She was 5 years old when the ship sank. I can only imagine the horror that little girl went through. I hate to imagine what my 5 year old would have to go through if something like that happened.

Photo Hunters

The theme this week is Hobbies. Two of my hobbies (flowers & photography):

Oh, these aren't my tulips, but I did take the picture. Hopefully by next year, I will have tulips looking like that. :)

I'm Beat

I just spent the last two hours outside pulling the weeds next to the driveway. They're "vine-y" little suckers but luckily have a shallow root system. It takes a while, but (I was going to say it's not back-breaking work, but my back is killing me. lol) they're not too hard to get out. I still have probably two more hours to get it all done.

There was also a branch that had come off our tree laying beside the driveway. It's been there since our first big windstorm many months ago. I finally got out the saw and sawed it into about twenty pieces. Go me!

Now though, I'm relaxing. I'm weak. My legs feel like Jell-O and I can hardly type. Don't know what's up with that. I had the Princesses get me a lemonade, so now I have sugar in my system. Woohoo!!

Spring Fever

I'm getting antsy. I want to plant flowers. I want to go browse through the garden centers. I think we'll put in petunias along the front wall again. They always do well and add nice color. But, before we do that, we need to edge the grass.

I also want a bleeding heart (to go with my bleeding thumb LOL!) Seriously though, isn't this pretty? We're also going to get some tulip and daffodils in the fall for planting.

Shrimp!

Shrimp is one of my favorite foods. You can
Have as much as you want because it is
Really low in fat and high in protein.
I like shrimp enchiladas and I may just have to
Make some tonight and
Plan for another shrimp dinner tomorrow!

You can get some great Shrimp Recipes online! Try one tonight! There's even a recipe for Shrimp Twice Baked Potatoes! I'm going to try that one real soon! Yummy!

Ahhhh

The girls and I busted our butts today getting the house cleaned. It's really amazing how much better I feel when the house is cleaned up. If someone stopped by right now, I wouldn't be too embarrassed by the state of my house. ;)

I hate to admit it, but the table was clean so the last couple nights, we've actually sat down as a family and had dinner. Usually, we just plop down in front of the TV. The girls told us they enjoy the family dinners. We're going to keep it up!

Wordless Wednesday

I've had some questions about where this is. It's actually at Animal Kingdom in Walt Disney World. I was standing on the bridge looking towards Expedition Everest. :)

Working From Home Made Easier

When I had my at home business, it would have been nice to have a separate phone line. If GoSolo Virtual Office had been around then, I could have had my very own number!

GoSolo provides a toll-free number with automated answering and a messaging inbox that can be accessed either online or over the phone. Cool deal! So easy to stay connected!

Silly Girl

Youngest Princess and I are watching Dancing with the Stars and she says to me.... "You should dance with Daddy like that!"

Bahahaha, that would be a sight to see! Craig, by his own self-admission, has no rhythm LOL!

Poker Night

Last night my mom took me up to Craig's work and then kept the girls for us so we could go to Craig's coworker's house for poker night. Usually it's just a guys night thing, but this time one of the guys was bringing his girlfriend so I was invited too. We had a blast! Turns out the one guy and his girlfriend didn't show, but it was fun. Of course I lost, the only time I've ever played is online, but they were all patient with me. It was a lot of fun, but we didn't get home until 2 this morning. *Yawn*

1K Tuesday

Have you heard the news? Could you use a thousand dollars? Sure you could! Who couldn't?

Pay Per Post, the primo site for blog advertising is giving away a thousand dollars every Tuesday to one lucky postie. Yes, you heard me right!!! One thousand dollars!

Sometime between 12:00am and 12:00pm, they'll put up one opportunity with no segmentation requirements for any postie to grab. So be on the lookout!!

What would you do if you were lucky enough to get that prized opportunity? Oh, just imagine what you could do! I would love to pay off some bills! But, then again, I may want to be a bit more spontaneous and take my husband to Las Vegas! Yep, the more I think about it, the more I'm thinking that is what would happen. We may even have to stay in a suite and fly first class! Or we'd head to the Happiest Place on Earth, Disneyland! Of course, he'd probably like to be more responsible and pay the bills though. I'd just have to tempt him with slots and drinks or Mickey and Minnie!

So don't forget!!! Every Tuesday in April, between 12am and 12pm, be on the lookout for the 1K opportunity from Pay Per Post!

Dumb Birds!

My Jeep has had to sit outside the last couple nights because there's stuff we need to put in the attic sitting in the Jeep's spot. We've been too lazy to haul it up there. Anyway, I went out to go to work this morning and there was bird poo all over my poor little Jeep. I'm not talking just a spot. I'm talking at least 9 big old splotches of poo all over my windshield. Dang birds were either having a party or something didn't agree with one bird. LOL

Win a Dyson!

5 Minutes for Moms is having a contest where they're giving away a Dyson Slim Vacuum. Just go sign up. Or maybe you shouldn't....it'll give me a better chance of winning. hahaha

Yummy!

Remember this? We're going to Olive Garden again tonight with the inlaws. I can't wait! I think I'm going to get this again!!

Looking to Sell a Car?

It's always such a pain to try and sell a car on your own. But now, if you have something to sell, check out sell car. You can list your car for free and people from all over the world wide web can see your ad and, hopefully, bid on it and put some money in your pocket!

Are you looking to buy a car? They have used car listings too. You can do a search within a certain miles radius of your home and place a bid on your dream car!

* Pick up toy area
* Pick up table area
* Mow Lawn
* Pull weeds
* Clean scrapbook area
* Clean back room
* Clean kitchen
* Run Roomba

TIssue Alert

Lisa posted this on a message board we're on. Over on the right side of the page is a video showing a soldier coming home from Iraq and going to school to surprise his 6 year old son. Definitely a tear-jerker!

I would like to publicly thank all of our service men and women for the sacrifice they've given for all of us!

Yay! Another Nerd Husband!

nevetS asked me about how to program the remote to run the Roomba. My husband actually programmed it, so I'm not sure the actual steps, but I guess that the remote has many different options that you can program it with. The Roomba was actually one of the options. He just told it what button would run it. LOL

Thanks, nevetS for visiting and for being a self-proclaimed Nerd Husband!!

Auto Insurance

Boy, one thing I will never get behind on is paying the car insurance. Working for the attorney's office, I dealt with subrogations, trying to collect the money the insurance company paid out to the insureds due to uninsured drivers and it was a real eye opener! The costs can add up real quick! Much cheaper in the long run to just pay for the insurance!

We've also been looking at online insurance quotes for insurance for our quads. SecureInsuranceQuotes.com even has listings of companies who will insure motorcycles and boats here in Oregon. They have all the states listed, so you could even check out Maryland Auto Insurance or Connecticut Auto Insurance if you were going to be moving to one of those states. Good information to have so you know what kind of pricing you'll be heading into.

Girly Drama

Holy Catfish! I never went through the whole "girl drama" thing with my friends. I have no experience in this area. Oldest Princess is having friend problems. I thought these girls were pretty nice, etc. Turns out they set her up and then called her a "B" because of what she said. I just want to put my baby in a bubble!!!

But, get this, 2 of the 3 have already called her and apologized. Aye aye aye. But, she's being very cautious. I'm very proud of the way she's handled this.

Poor Sanjaya

Poor Sanjaya. He really needs to go home. I sometimes wonder if the American Idol powers that be are keeping him for a purpose. Anyway, I was browsing blogs and Julie had this Saturday Night Live parody of Sanjaya linked on her site. Hilarious!!

Gardening Made Easy

It can be such a pain in the neck to water my garden. First I have to get the hose drug all the way from the other side of the house to the garden. Then I have to go turn on the water and head back to the garden. After watering, I fight with the hose to get it wound back up.

If I had one of these neat hose reels it would be so much easier! Aren't they neat? You just flip a lever and it uses the water pressure to roll the hose back up, all on its own.

There's many styles to choose from and you can find them at home improvement stores like Lowe's, Home Depot and even Costco!

Don't Forget

Don't forget to come visit my other blog. Let me know what you think of it!

If It Were Only That Easy

It's Tuesday

You know what that means, don't you? Well......normally it would mean dance class! But not this week because of Spring Break. WOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Plus the princesses are with my sister in law. That means I can come home from work and veg. Yay!!!

Awesome Weekend!

What an awesome weekend! It went by way too quickly! We went to the coast to ride the quads with my parents. Yesterday was kind of overcast, pretty windy, but dry. Overnight it poured!!! Nonstop, all night long! We basically figured we wouldn't be riding today. We opened the curtains on the motorhome and lo and behold, blue sky! We got ready, went out and went on an awesome ride! We even shed our jackets, yeah, it was that warm and non-windy. Of course, Craig and I had to leave to come back home. Work will be beckoning us tomorrow. The Princesses stayed with my parents and will come back home tomorrow. Oh and because I'm a dork, there's no pictures. Forgot the camera. :(

Love This Movie!

Grumpy Old Men is on right now. I love it! It's a classic! I love the banter going back and forth between the men. It helps that I have relatives in Minnesota, so I can kind of relate to the weather and the town in the movie. LOL

Bad Day

Talk about a bad day at work! LOL Techie Wipes Out $38 Billion Fund

Twilight Zone

:Insert Twilight Zone music here:

I just noticed that the comment feature on my Wordless Wednesday post wasn't working. Strange, I haven't done anything different, but yet it was turned off. Anyway, commence commenting! ;)

I've had some comments asking where this is. This is from the train station looking down Main Street. We had early ADR's at Cinderella's Castle, so that's why there aren't a whole lot of people there.

Other Home

Hey, I've got another home too. Come visit! I'm just getting it off the ground. If It Were Only That Easy

Ow!

I woke up stiff and sore this morning. Who knew that after being sick for days and then going out and mowing the lawn and cutting down branches would make you sore? Bahahahaha It does feel better after being up and moving around. LOL

Today is supposed to be a decent day. I see though, on Weather.com, that we're supposed to be getting PM showers. Let's hope it's late PM LOL

The Ongoing List

My neverending list keeps growing!

* Laundry
* Clean Youngest's room
* Clean our room
* Pick up toy area
* Pick up table area
* Pay bills
* Mow Lawn
* Cut hanging branches off tree
* Pull weeds
* Clean scrapbook area
* Clean back room
* Clean kitchen
* Run Roomba

Home Security

I like to think that our neighborhood is safe. But, I also know that looks can be deceiving. Recently we found out that there may be a drug house in my parents' neighborhood. Everyone knows that most of the time, along with drugs, comes theft.

I think that we, and my parents, need to look into getting an alarm system. LaserShield is peace of mind for almost any budget. It has many options such as a panic button, battery backup and it's even pet friendly!

Another great convenience is that you can find them at places like Home Depot, Sears, K-Mart and even Costco. Convenience and affordability! You can't beat that! I think I'll go check them out soon. Tomorrow may be too late!

Gorgeous!

It's a gorgeous day outside. According to weather.com it is 65 outside. Absolutely perfect! I mowed the lawn and I cut down some branches on the tree that overhangs the driveway. I was going to pull weeds, but I'm not feeling overly wonderful at this point. I'm feeling rather weak, actually. Oh well, they'll still be there tomorrow.

Be a Patriot!

After 9-11, everything and everything was patriotic and had a flag on it. It was hard to go anyplace without seeing an American flag flying proudly.

Now you can have that patriotism right in your own home. Patriotic-Posters.us has fantastic patriotic posters. They even have sexy posters. Don't worry! It's just women in patriotic bathing suits.

They've got posters having to do with famous Americana like Route 66 or the Old West. They've even got great posters like the one with Uncle Sam that says "I Want You for U.S. Army!" So if you're looking for some patriotism for your home, check out posters like these:

You'll find them at www.patriotic-posters.us

Flashbacks

I was over visiting Mama Lee's blog and she had this on her page. I love it! We still have the VCR tape of the Muppet Show with this on it. Oldest Princess and I used to watch this all the time! It's even filtered down now to Youngest Princess. If we're in the car or wherever, one of us will say Manamana and the other will do the doo doo doo doo doo.

Bahahahaha, this is another favorite of ours:

UGH

As I'm still recovering from the sickness, now Oldest Princess has it. So I'm home again today. Hopefully, if we can keep Craig from getting it, we'll be done with this sickness by the end of the week! Keep your fingers crossed!

Pirates, anyone?

Anonymously

A few years back on the parenting boards I used to go to, we used to have a game called "Secret Parent". We would send little emails or e-cards to the person whose name we had. At the end of the month, we would try to guess who had our name or just think of some clever way to reveal whose name we had.

Because of this being "secret" we obviously couldn't use our normal email and had to try to figure out a way of getting an email no one knew about. Nowadays we could have used Anonymous Email.

Maybe you can send your special someone an anonymous email and they'll think they have a secret admirer!

Woe is Me

UGH! I'm down for the count. I seemed to have picked up the little bug that Youngest Princess had. I'm so glad she listened to me and had no problems with "sharing"! LOL Makes a mother proud! LOL

My Day is Complete

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

I am done with work for the day. It started at 6 and just ended at 7. I worked 11.5 hours today. Not to mention I'm still beat from the daylight savings time change. Tomorrow will be a better day! :)

My Future's So Bright....I've Got to Wear Shades

Ever since Oldest Princess was born, I've had to wear glasses all my waking hours. One thing I miss is wearing cute sunglasses. But, there's good news! www.opticsplanet.net has prescription Eyeglasses and sunglasses! Then I could look cute plus still be able to actually see!

Have you ever wondered how to pick out that perfect pair of sunglasses? www.opticsplanet.net even has a How to Buy Sunglasses Guide. Sounds like just what I need!

If it has lenses, www.opticsplanet.net has it! They have binoculars, goggles and even flashlights!

I'm going to go check out the motorcycle goggles. I could really use a pair when we ride the quads. It really hurts to get sand in your eye.

As an added bonus, if you spend over $29.95, you get free UPS shipping. Not only do you get a great selection, but you get free shipping.

Good Morning!!

It's Monday! That's not necessarily good. Bahahaha At least Youngest Princess seems to be on the mend and everyone else in the house seems to be doing ok. Hope I didn't just jinx us. ;) Ooops, one minute till I work, better go.

As my friend Heidi says....have a day!

My ring...the pics

Cyndi asked for pics of my ring. They're not the best pics, but here you go. :)

Naptime

Ahhhhhhhh, I took almost a 2 hour nap today. Boy did I need that!

Youngest Princess is on the upswing, I hope. Daddy is helping her eat some Dora soup. Poor thing is just weak as can be.

Yawn

Yesterday I went to the scrapbook convention. On my way home, I turned my phone back on and there was a voicemail. It was from Craig. He said that Youngest Princess was sick. Oh lovely. I was supposed to go to Craig's aunts to scrapbook, but I offered to come home. He told me to go ahead and go, that they would be fine. I got home then at about 9:30 and was really tired. I offered to sleep on the floor because Princess was sleeping on the couch. Craig said, nope, go ahead and go to bed, I'll stay out here with her. So he slept here in the chair. I woke up at 4 something and came and checked on them. They were both sleeping soundly, so I went back to bed. But about half an hour later, I heard them both so I got up. Princess was sick again. Poor thing has been sick all night. I'm exhausted because I only got 4-5 hrs of sleep, but I sent Craig to bed. I need to be at church in half an hour. I'm not dressed yet. LOL I'm supposed to be singing today. That's not going to happen. I sound like a frog due to my cold. *Ribbit*

Daylight Savings

Did you remember to 'Spring Ahead'? I just realized that because of congress or whoever it was changing Daylight Savings Time, that our automatically changing, always right, alarm clock will be wrong for the next however many days. It's programmed to advance an hour on whatever day DST should have been. Not today. That means, I'm going to have to remember to go in there and change all the alarm settings. I can't change the clock part at all. It has some internal computer chip or something. GRRRRRRRRRR

The Ultimate Blog Party

This is a sticky post...current posts are under this one. Thanks!

Party on, Wayne! (love that movie hehehe)

I'm Kelli, married to Craig for almost 14 years. We have two beautiful Princesses, ages 12 and 5. Oldest Princess enjoys band, dance, computers and riding her quad. Youngest Princess enjoys Princesses, My Little Pony, turtles and riding her quad.

I work as a bookkeeper for our church and also work for a company that monitors online message boards and chat rooms. I used to also work for an attorney here in town as a bookkeeper, but since he moved to a different city, I'm down to two jobs. lol

In our free (ha!) time, we enjoy camping, riding our quads, and basically just being outdoors. I personally enjoy scrapbooking and photography. I'm also a huge Disney freak! I would love to live closer to Walt Disney World or Disneyland.

Anyway, that's "all about me".

Party on, Garth!

Coupons, Coupons, Coupons

I have it on good authority that, for Christmas, Santa was looking for a My Little Pony comforter for Youngest Princess. Santa finally found one at Target online. After finding the comforter, Santa went looking for Target coupons. Santa told me that it was so nice to go looking for coupon codes and finding so many choices to use at www.couponchief.com. Not only did Santa find Target coupons, but he found many other online store coupons as well. With all the presents Santa has to bring, he was overjoyed at finding a coupon, or sometimes, even more than one, for each store! Santa was able to save some big money this last Christmas!

My ring

So Craig called the ring place at 7:00. Dude who answered said, yeah, it was here yesterday. Craig then said, um, my wife was in this morning and it wasn't there. *eyeroll* So we went down there, it was there. I really don't think it was there this morning though. Then I noticed behind the counter by their phone, my order sheet was taped up there with CALL when in. Gee, thanks for the call morons! Anyway, my ring is on my finger and boy is it shiny! The prongs look stronger and I can see the one diamond that had sunk. Wooooohooo!

GRRRRRRR

My ring is supposed to be available after 6:00 tonight AND they were to have called me when it came in. Let's see....it's 5:58. My phone is silent. GRRRRR

Ring Update

So my ring was supposed to be done by 6:00 last night. I go in this morning and they can't find it. They check their log and nope, never came in last night. They call their jeweler and the chicky's on hold FOREVER. Literally at least 10 minutes. Finally they tell her that ooops, somebody put it in the bin of things to be done instead of the one to be delivered. It should be there by 6 tonight. *eyeroll* We'll see

Teacher Appreciation Week...again

Yay, it's Friday! As far as TAW goes, I went to Learning Palace yesterday and looked around. I couldn't decide on any one thing, so I got Mrs. N a gift certificate. Now I need to have Youngest Princess make her a card.

Wednesday, March 07, 2007

Another Funny

As we were driving today, Youngest Princess said, "Mrs. N had new shoes on today!" I said, "Oh really? What color were they?" She proceeded to tell me, "you know, the color of your forehead!" Um, alrighty then! LOL

Teacher Appreciation Week....cont'd

I keep forgetting it's Teacher Appreciation Week. Youngest Princess and I walked into school this morning and there was a mom there giving Youngest's teacher a floor puzzle. This mom's daughter had been in Mrs. N's class a previous year. Boy did I feel like a heel. I told Mrs. N that I just keep forgetting it's TAW, but we really do appreciate you!!

So any suggestions on what I should get? I thought maybe a gift certificate to a teacher supply place we have here. I'm just not sure she goes there. It's spendy! I may go take a look around though and see if I can find the perfect thing.

Rugs Done Right

I had the opportunity to look over the Rugs Done Right Blog. There is so much information that can be found there!

For instance, I didn't know that if you have an area rug, it could cause static electricity, which in turn, may hurt your computer. There are now new non-static fibers that are being used in some area rugs to prevent this problem. Who would have thought? I'm glad someone did!

There are so many good tips on how to buy rugs and how to save money in doing it. Also on this blog are tips for cleaning area rugs, which is really helpful because it's not exactly like you can just throw them in the washer!

They also came across this neat little feature for when you're browsing online looking for rugs...they have the names of Benjamin Moore paint colors that match that particular rug so you can get a paint chip you like from your local store and then match it to the rug so you know exactly what color you're getting when purchasing online! What a great concept!

Overall, this blog is really helpful when it comes to choosing area rugs! Go check it out!

Poor Kitty

Youngest Princess has a tape measure. All of a sudden I hear, "hold still now, Sweet Pea!!" She's trying to measure the cat! Bahahahahaha We're very lucky in that our cat will basically put up with anything or anyone. LOL

He's a Superstar!

Go look! Cyndi told me that Eric was on the news but that they didn't see it. I then asked what station and my detective skills went to work and I found him! Not that it was really THAT difficult, but hey, for the enjoyment of the story, let's just say I had to work REAL hard to find it. LOL

I even showed Youngest Princess if she saw anyone she recognized and she said, "J's Dad!!!!"

Keylogging

My Oldest Princess is 12 years old. She also loves the internet. I'm not ashamed to admit that we, as her parents, have put restrictions on her online activities. We've also considered using a keylogger to track where she's been. We do trust her, but we also love her. Love her enough to be concerned for her online safety.

I had an online friend who was using a keylogger for her daughter and discovered that she was chatting with older people, going to sites that were not appropriate for her and giving out way too much personal information. They also discovered that she was "cutting" herself. Because of the keylogging, they were able to get her the help she needed.

I think there is definitely a place in the internet world for a keylogger.

Yay Me!

I used my brain today! LOL I had a bunch of t-shirt designs to do for people on my Disney boards. I got the brainiac idea to bring the laptop to dance class, so after work, I swung by home and grabbed the laptop. I even lucked out when I got to dance class that I picked up a wireless network from somewhere. LOL So anyway, I got the designs all done!! Woohoo!

Teacher Appreciation Week

UGH! My mom just called me as she was taking Youngest Princess to school. I'd forgotten it's Teacher Appreciation Week. My friend's kids are bringing their teachers a daffodil. I don't have any flowers growing right now. I hope Youngest doesn't feel too bad. I told her to color her teacher a picture instead.

Housekeeping Channel

Boy do I need to peruse this site! My house looks like a tornado went through it! It's the The Housekeeping Channel. Go check it out!

It has different categories for each room of your home. It even has tips on cleaning your windows, walls and ceilings! There is even a place where you can do a search for a cleaning service in your area. If you don't want or need to search by room, you can just go to their list of articles or reviews and browse through them. Pretty neat feature, I'd say!

I'm definitely going to be digging through this site! My house really needs it!

Party Quiz

Cyndi tagged me to do this:

You Are Cheesecake

Rich, sweet, and simply perfect.

You're not boring - you're just the best!

Let me know what you are!

To-Do List

I'm going to put my list of things to do here, in hopes that if I continually see it, I'll get something done. Ha!

* Laundry
* Work 4 hrs.
* Clean Youngest's room
* Clean our room
* Pick up toy area
* Pick up table area
* Pay bills
* Keep from getting sick (I'm afraid I'm already losing that one) :(
* Get scrapbook stuff organized for Convention next weekend

Love this song!

Found this site through Cyndi who found it at Slacker Mom's blog. It's pretty neat. On the site it even has the lyrics to the video.

Oldest Princess

Looking back over my posts, it seems I don't post much about Oldest Princess much. She's just in that stage where I get the "look" if I ask to take her picture or I get the heavy sigh if I ask if she wants to go do something. It's not that she doesn't have things going on, etc., she's very busy, just the age, I guess.

Yesterday, Craig and Oldest Princess did go see the movie Bridge to Terabithia. It had one part in there that was a surprise to her, but I won't say anything more on that so as not to give it away.

My Little Pony

Youngest Princess and I went to see The World's Biggest Tea Party!! She absolutely loves My Little Ponies. She had a ball at the show! We were second row in the center, but it turns out they didn't sell the first row, so then we ended up being front and center!

Memories

Bahahahaha, National Lampoon's Vacation is on right now. I've seen this movie so many times and laugh every time. Yeah, it's stupid humor, but sometimes that's just what you need, you know? Poor Aunt Edna. LOL

It's Only Money, Right?

I had to take my wedding ring in to be fixed today. It's needed to go in for, oh, about 5 years now. LOL I was missing a couple of prongs and where they had welded my engagement ring to my wedding band, it had cracked. I've noticed recently that another prong must be loose because I was catching it on stuff and I even scratched my face with it. I told the girl behind the counter that I was missing prongs and she said, oh no, I'm sure they're just worn down. She took out her little eyeglass thing and said to the other girl, look at this, they ARE gone. *eyeroll* She then said, "I'm surprised you haven't lost the diamond out of it!" Whatever. So anyway, I get my ring back on Thursday....after I give them $124.50. LOL They said the weld would just crack again because it was so thin so they were going to have to add a shank to it. I also needed it resized 3/4 of a size bigger. Wouldn't of had to do that if I had just lost the weight I keep meaning to lose. :-/

Blog Party!!!

Hey everyone, don't forget!! Head on over to www.5minutesformom.com and join in on the party!! There's a ton of prizes as well!

So what are you waiting for? Go party!

Yippy Skippy, part 2

We all survived Chuck E. Cheese. We blew through 100 tokens in no time. LOL It was fun to just hang out for a while and have fun. Found out too, that the manager decided that the school will get 20% of the money instead of only 15%. Woooooohooooo!

Yippy Skippy

Guess where we're going tonight? Chuck E. Cheese. You are all jealous, I know it! LOL

Seriously though, we're doing a fund raiser for Youngest Princess's school. The school will get 15% of the money tonight. Hope they do well!!

Jeff Childress

Many of you know that one of my jobs is bookkeeper for our church. I listen to a lot of Christian music while at work. Jeff Childress is a christian singer who also has a country flair. Go check out his site, he's got many songs up there to listen to.

One of my favorites is called Soulmate. Listen to the lyrics and you can hear the love for his "soulmate" that he feels. I would be so thrilled to have had that song written for me.

Jeff also has a song he wrote about our service men and women called Blood Bought Liberty. He wrote the song after helping a neighbor's wife with some work on her house while her husband was deployed. He posted the story with the song, so go check it out! It's a great song!

Shopping+Empty Stomach=Bad Kelli

Oh boy, I was hungry. I went to Walmart to pick up a few things. BAD IDEA! I came home with the stuff I had gone for, but a bag of Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs, more Cadbury Eggs and more Mini Cadbury Eggs jumped right into my basket! We also got Peeps that Youngest Princess picked out for her and her sister. Blech! Hate those things. Oh and on a separate note, this year there is green Peeps too! We, however, got pink.

I just went and looked.....green Peeps aren't the only thing new this year. They're also making sugar-free Peeps, made with Splenda and cocoa Peeps. LOL

It's a Blizzard Out There!

Ok, so the schools had a delayed opening this morning, right? Guess what? Not a single flake fell. Bahahahaha I bet someone at the school district has a lot of questions to be answering! I was out taking Oldest Princess to school and it was rain. Granted, there was some "thicker" rain on my windshield, but no real snow. Oh and guess what? We're supposed to be getting snow tonight. Sheesh, I guess I should check the district website. I'm sure they've closed it already!

My boss is funny. He asked Oldest Princess today if she'd heard they're having a two-week delay for school starting today.....you know, cause it "might" snow sometime next year! Bahahahaha

Wordless Wednesday

City Shuts Down

We're expecting snow. No accumulation, per se, but snow. Guess what? Our schools are on a two-hour delay. I haven't seen one flake today. We're so not used to snowy weather here, so the city shuts down. I'm not even sure we have a snow plow. LOL

Sickies update

Phew! I was able to get the prescriptions from Walgreens yesterday with little to no problem. I thought for sure I'd have a problem, we always do. But I went through the drive through, picked up Craig's insulin and Oldest Princess's two prescriptions, or so I thought. I pulled away from the window and luckily decided to check. I mean I just spent $75 on prescriptions, I was going to make sure I had them all. Good thing I did. They didn't give me Craig's insulin, which they had forgotten to take out of the refrigerator. *sigh* So after sitting in the drive-through for 15 minutes, we had to go inside anyway. There were literally about 10 cars behind us so I figured it would take forever inside, but there was only one person in front of us. Phew! Was able to get Craig's insulin with little to no trouble. Yay!

So anyway, Oldest Princess is feeling a ton better! Her attitude has improved as well. Bonus for us all! LOL

Loans

About a year ago or so, we refinanced our home. We went with the same institution that carried our previous mortgage. We had had good luck with them and gotten a low interest rate, but I would have liked to have a site like this one for comparing mortgage rates to see if we could have gotten a better rate from someone else.

With the refinance, we also paid off the credit cards. But, we have since used them again. With the one card we have a high interest rate. We need to find one that isn't so high. The site compares credit cards in the U.K. I think that's such a great idea to be able to compare them all in one place!

I've been trying to put extra money into our savings account. I'd like to have a little cushion in there. I always have, and it has come in handy at times! If you're in the U.K. and looking for comparisons of interest rates on your savings accounts check them out!

www.nationsfinance.co.uk even has comparisons on car insurance with online discounts going through their site. What a great incentive since insurance can be so high!

If you're in the U.K. and looking for any kind of loans or insurance, take a look at www.nationsfinance.co.uk and compare rates all in one place!

Pink & Purple Fairy

Saturday we went to Build-A-Bear Workshop. Youngest Princess had gotten a gift card for there for Christmas. She made a beeline for this cute little pink and purple bear. I tried to show her the other ones she could pick, but she had blinders on. This was the bear for her!

First she got to stuff it:

Then she got to put the bear's heart in:

Then the bear got an air bath and a good brushing:

Finally she got to not be naked anymore. Youngest Princess picked out a fairy costume and a Princess Aurora costume for her buddy:

Finally, our purchase was done. "Pink & Purple Fairy" was now a part of our family!

Sickies

Well, Oldest Princess has a sinus infection and her chest is tight according to the doctor. So she got prescriptions for Amoxicillin and Albuterol. My mom had to take her to the doctor because I was working. I told my mom to just take the scrips to Walmart, they should just be $4 scrips. Craig went after he got back in town to go pick them up. They were going to be $32 a piece!!! So, because the girls' insurance doesn't do Walmart, I screwed up. I just figured it'd be $8. *sigh* So today I get to call the doc and get new prescriptions sent to Walgreens. GRRRRRRRR

The OC

Yep, I watched The OC. It was one of my favorite shows. I even have Season 1 and Season 2 on DVD. I didn't get Season 3 for Christmas, but I will be getting it and of course, now, Season 4 as well. The last episode was last week. I wasn't thrilled with that episode. It seemed too jumbled with them trying to close everything up. It was usually such a well-written show. If that last episode would have been a regular episode, I would have thought it "jumped the shark". Anyway, I am sad that it's no longer in my Thursday night lineup, but I do admit that I couldn't get into the whole Ryan/Taylor thing. It kind of lost something after Marissa died.

Flashback

Anyone remember this post? Yep, I had it again tonight! Yummmmmmmy!!

Cadbury Eggs

Hey! It's that time again! Time for Cadbury Eggs and that cute little bunny that lays the eggs. Mmmmmmmmmmm While at Target today, I got a pack of the regular size eggs and a pack of the one dozen mini creme eggs. Woohoo!!

We're Nerds

My husband is a nerd. Yes, he is. He has programmed our remote to run the Roomba.

I was giving him a hard time about being such a nerd when he brought up the fact that I was walking around watching the Roomba vacuum my floor. Bahahahaha

Hmm, wonder which of us is the bigger nerd? Wait! Don't answer that.

Rumors, Rumors

So, I heard through the grapevine that PayPerPost, you know, the site that pays you for online advertising, has some big news, but I don't know what exactly that is.

I'm wondering if it will be double payouts on some opportunities! Wouldn't that be great? Ooooh just think what I could do with all that moola!

Or maybe a trip to any destination that one lucky winner (and a dozen of their closest friends) chooses! Oh man, what a dream that would be! Anyone care to guess where I'd pick? Not very hard to figure out, I'd be going to Walt Disney World! But, since I was in the area, I'd probably have to stop by PayPerPost HQ too!

Or maybe a new car! It would be painted green with PayPerPost logos on the side. Maybe it'll be a Hummer! A real one, not an H2 or H3, but the big daddy of all Hummers!

Or maybe a PayPerPost tour bus going around visiting posties. So many possibilities!

Well, I'm sure it's got to be one of those ideas above, or else the big news might be that Ted, the CEO of PayPerPost, has been abducted by aliens, was brainwashed on their spaceship and now has three nipples, twelve fingers and a horn growing out of the top of his head. Yeah, I think I hit the nail on the head! That's got to be it! Don't you think?
